This is probably the most frequently asked question I get as a photographer & I am glad everyone asks it! No one wants those old school, matchy, traditional family portraits anymore where everyone wears denim and a white t-shirt. For a family session, depending on the time of year, the first place to start is a color pallet. You want your outfits to look visually pleasing together, not matching exactly. Brighter colors look better in the summer and neutrals with a pop of color look great in the fall. Don’t be afraid to go bold and add a print into the mix and dress up your look with some fun accessories! For maternity sessions, I am always a fan of long maxi dresses or skirts with a form fitting top to accentuate the growing belly. Rachel Pally makes some GORGEOUS floor length maternity dresses that I am obsessed with as well. I included some wardrobe inspirations below! Please feel free to contact me with any questions!
Hope this little bit of inspiration helps make the most of your upcoming session!
